A lineage of Hela practice

Siri Suwa Arana prepares traditional Ayurvedic and herbal formulations in Sri Lanka, following methods recorded and handed down within Hela practice.

Each preparation begins with plant material — root, bark, leaf, seed, fruit — processed in the order and manner the tradition prescribes. The mortar and pestle on our labels is not decoration. It is still how a great deal of the work is done.

We publish what we can verify. Where a formulation detail, a measure or a date is not confirmed against our own records, we say so rather than fill the gap with something that reads well.
